Product Release

MONTRÉAL, June 25, 2026 — QDat.io, a brand of Meerv Inc., announces QDatDroid 2.4.6, the release that adds multimodal tagging to the app. On a Zebra TC22R or a Dragonwing TC501, a single pull of the scan trigger now does what used to take several passes: it photographs the product, reads the barcode or the QR Code, and picks up the RFID — all in the same moment, on the same item.
A thing isn't only its barcode, and it isn't only its RFID tag. It's all of them at once — plus what it actually looks like. QDatDroid 2.4.6 captures those faces together, so one identity with several personalities becomes a single, richer source of truth in QDat.io.

To carry all of that to the cloud, we upgraded QDat.io to version 2.2.20 at the same time. A multimodal capture — picture included — is ingested live over MQTT and lands as one unified record the instant it's scanned.
We've written the full story — what multimodal tagging changes, how the TC22R and TC501 scanning engines pull it off, and why one identity with many faces makes a better source of truth Read the blog: one scan, every identity.
Download QDatDroid 2.4.6 for your Zebra TC22R or TC501, point it at a product, and pull the trigger once — the picture, the code and the RFID land together in QDat.io.
